A little bit of Earth: Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur, Philippines

For some the summer heat is easily quenched with a cold ice cream cone or halo-halo. Not for this lady.
Coconuts (buco if you must), white sand, salty blue sea water, ragged breeze and sounds of crashing waves- now that I is a real summer quencher. It is a challenge going about in Manila's heatwave without lusting for a beach trip, this year I hit the road for 12 hours and sailed the seas for 2 to get to the Survivor Islands of Caramoan, Camarines Sur.
Caramoan has been home to the Survivor Edition and I believe 17 countries have filmed their series in this part of the world. Survivor has shown great appreciation for our islands and has consistently been filming in Caramoan and now even has filmed series in Cagayan de Oro (Paulaui Island). Survivor 2014, Outplay, Outlast, and Outwit is now on-going and again the strategic game locates our castaways in Caramoan.
I stayed for 4 days with friends at the West Peninsula Villas, they also came up with our itinerary for our entire stay. I only had to worry about, well practically nothing but except making sure I had sunblock in my bag. (The sun here in the Philippines - out of this world!) The stay at the West Peninsula Villas was pleasurable, the staff was accommodating, and we had 3 complete meals for everyday, and they even packed picnic baskets for us! How sweet! 

The skies were filled with stars at night, and the waters were filled with star fish during the day. I caught a star! Make a wish!
