Your Happy Face, Your Happy Place
One thing we always take for granted is our own happy - happy place, happy face, happy feelings, things that make us happy, people that make us happy, memories that make us happy.
It is true (I think), the memories we remember most are the bad, tough, and sad ones - probably because it usually leaves a scar, a reminder, a rewinder that takes us back to that one painful moment. With that just one memory all that glittered happiness in our thoughts fade.
Have you found your happy? What makes you happy? Here's mine:
1. A big bright smile
2. Joyous greetings in the mornings
3. The big bright blue sky
4. Orange pink sunsets
5. Absurd, silly text messages... or that smiley at the end of a text
6. Shiva
7. A good damn read, one that makes me laugh out loud, or one that can bring a tear to my eye
8. Music I discover myself from deep dive searching, linked searches, it's like digging up a treasure!
9. Long conversations that can get you lost whether it makes sense or not
10. Walking under a dark grey blanketed sky
11. Bestfriends
12. Holding hands
13. Hugging, kissing, spooning, cuddling, and you know what comes next!
14. Twix, dried green mango, gummy bears
15. Weird and adorkable people
Happy is sharing, and here I am sharing a promise.
“Promise Yourself:
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.” - Christian D. Larson
