A Review: The Wanderer Kenshin Himura
And I thought Rorouni Kenshin would not be out until January, boy was I glad when my cousin posted on my facebook- she invited me to thirdwheel with her boyfriend for a Saturday night movie date. Of course, I had to turn it down, I certainly did not want to be of a disturbance to them nor did I want to be around them while they smooch all over each other. Hah! I ended up asking my highschool bestfriend to watch it with me, Iya - told her to do her "paglalaba" the next day. Now I love her even more for giving me and the movie a chance.
For those who do not know, Rorouni (Wanderer) Kenshin is a Warner Bros film adaptation of the popular manga and anime series, Samurai X. I seldom say that ILOVE a film, but this one did meet and maybe surpassed my expectations (having seen Dragon Ball and The Last Airbender). The film cuts the story from episodes 1 - 20, and the fighting scenes just catch your breath but then again scenes between Kenshin and Kaoru would do too. While everyone clapped, a slow tear slipped from the corner of my eye while my heart did somersaults.
What I loved about it, and reasons why you should go and watch it for yourself:
Although.. Yahiko also reminded me of Yaiba. Hihi. If you are a true downright purist, I may not recommend for you to watch the film as any other book to screen adaptation. However, I'm going to watch it again or even get the DVD- for sure!
On a different happier note, I ran the 10K, more about it on my next post!

What I loved about it, and reasons why you should go and watch it for yourself:
- It was not westernized, the cast - Japanese, the language - Japanese
- Sanosuke his Zanabatou, and chicken
- The humor and comical sense of each character
- Fight scenes were choreographed well. Kenshin's "High Heaven Style", his dash or sprint when about to challenge an opponent
- Lastly, I just really love Kenshin *kilig*
